My Inspiration

In arguably his most famous novel, For Whom The Bell Tolls, and in his role as a war correspondent during the Spanish Civil War, Hemingway proved that he could back up his thoughts and words with courageous actions. He was a fearless and skilled soldier, albeit unconventional, respected for his leadership of French resistance fighters and the American troops at the Battle of Bulge. The story that Hemingway, along with American soldiers, ‘liberated’ the bar of the Ritz in Paris at the end of the war is considered more than a myth.
