The Case

This classically styled watch, presented in a 38mm satin brushed Calatrava stainless steel case is inspired by the styling of early 20th century watches. The period styling extends to the double curved box type sapphire crystal, treated with blue anti-reflective coating, and features a hidden gasket. The specification includes a triple gasket crown and the watch is water-resistant to 5 ATM.

The Case Back & Movement

Fitted with a double curved sapphire crystal with three layers of anti-reflective coating. The modified 11 ½ ligne calibre VB - 24A automatic movement features 26 jewels, perlage and blued screws. Other highlights include a Glucydur balance, an Anachron balance spring and a Nivaflex 1 mainspring. The balance has a frequency of 28,800 bph and features a 38-hour power reserve and a custom-made rotor that emulates the appearance of the Empire State building. A copy of the building's foundation plaque adorns the movement holder. The movement is suspended in a ring of mu-metal which helps protect it from excessive magnetic forces.

The Dial & Hands

A double curved olive green dial with vertical and circular satin brush. The dial features a combination of Roman numerals and batons coated with C1 Super-LumiNova ®. The specification also includes steel blue hands.

New York Nights

At night the olive green dial and steel blue hands with their C1 Super-LumiNova ® treatment glow beautifully.

The Strap & Buckle

The tan leather strap is cut, coloured and dyed by hand. It is crafted by an Artisan, signed on its underside and paired with a Van Brauge custom-made stainless steel buckle.

Presentation Box

The watch is supplied in a beautiful, handmade British Racing Green box, featuring an outer sleeve. The box contains a customised spring bar tool, a luxury polishing cloth, hangtag, Van Brauge brochure, owner's medallion, a spare strap and the warranty booklet.
