Bentley Racer No. 9

The Case Back & Movement

The circular-brushed, screwed-down case back is adorned with a depiction of a 1930s vintage Bentley racing car at its centre, acid etched into the steel. The modified 11 ½ ligne calibre VB - 24A automatic movement features 26 jewels, perlage and blued screws. Other highlights include a Glucydur balance, an Anachron balance spring and a Nivaflex 1 mainspring. The balance has a frequency of 28,800 bph and features a 38-hour power reserve and a skeletonised, decorated rotor. The movement is suspended in a ring of mu-metal which helps protect it from excessive magnetic forces.

The Dial & Hands

The double curved, gun metal and silver dial features 1930s inspired off-white indexes, coated with Super-LumiNova ® 7500. The classic blue steel hour and minute hands are treated with Super-LumiNova ® 7500. A central sweep seconds hand, with a red tip, and a date display complete the inventory of functions.

Night Racing

The watch's Super Luminous Nova properties on the dial's well-defined indexes and hands, which are all easily visible and legible, even during low-light conditions. This feature ensures that the watch can be used effectively in all lighting situations, from the illuminated brightness of day to the subdued glow of night.

The Strap & Buckle

We have also included a black waxed leather strap with white stitching fitted with a custom made 20.00 mm two tone finished 316L stainless steel VB buckle.
