Courage is grace under pressure
Hemingway’s work as an intrepid war correspondent and his skill at sourcing information, led to him becoming a valued spy for both the Americans and the Russians during the Second World War. Recruited by the Soviets in the 1940s, he also supplied tactical intelligence to the OSS, which later became the CIA. The mutual goal of both the Americans and Soviets was to defeat Hitler.
