The Case
A three-piece stainless steel case with black Diamond Like Coating, endowed with brushed and polished details, featuring sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating and hidden gaskets front and back. The specification also includes a screwed-down case back and screw-in case tube fitted with a triple gasket crown. The case is 43mm in diameter, has a thickness of 13mm and measures 22mm between the lugs.
The Case Back & Movement
A satin brushed case back, fitted with a double curved sapphire crystal with three layers of anti-reflective coating. The modified 11 ½ ligne calibre VB - 24A automatic movement features 26 jewels, perlage and blued screws. Other highlights include a Glucydur balance, an Anachron balance spring and a Nivaflex 1 mainspring. The balance has a frequency of 28,800 bph and features a 38-hour power reserve and a skeletonised, decorated rotor. The movement is suspended in a ring of mu-metal which helps protect it from excessive magnetic forces.
The Dial & Hands
Hydraulically stamped double curved matt black dial with silver printing. The dial features silver hands and applied silver hour markers, both of which are coated in Super-LumiNova ®super C1. The specification also includes a black date disc with white printing.
The Strap & Buckle
Fitted with a black Everglade alligator strap with matching black stitching and quick release spring bars. The strap is fitted with a custom-made stainless steel 20mm pin buckle.
Presentation Box
The watch is supplied in a beautifully handmade, luxury hand-stitched calf leather watch & jewellery case. Measuring 36 x 12 x 18 cm, the presentation case also contains a luxury polishing cloth, hangtag, Van Brauge brochure and the warranty booklet.
My Inspiration
The moment I set foot in the enchanting city of Oxford, I was captivated by its eternal elegance and knew that it would provide the perfect inspiration for my watchmaking endeavours. Thus, the Oxford collection was born, melding together the style and sophistication synonymous with this historic city. But the inspiration did not stop there - as a connoisseur of fine gin, I decided to infuse each unique timepiece with the name of different gin varieties. The result is a truly magnificent collection of watches, each reflecting the exquisite characteristics of its namesake and the undeniable charm of Oxford.
